Due to strategic expansion and the increasing demand for their specialised products, Our Client is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in space electronics. This key appointment will support their ongoing success in delivering high-quality electronic systems for space applications, playing a crucial role in complex projects from inception to completion. Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage both customer projects and internal development initiatives related to space-grade power electronics, applying PMI/PMBOK project management standards.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, scope, and quality standards.
  • Drive the implementation of project milestones, including the execution of Q-gates with comprehensive documentation for effective project tracking.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractor activities, overseeing procurement and ensuring smooth integration of work packages.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet project demands while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders across departments.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, progress reports, and lessons learned to inform continuous improvement.
  • Manage change requests and handle customer or internal complaints professionally and efficiently.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to senior management, supporting commercial activities and business growth initiatives.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing aerospace or space industry projects, particularly in power electronics or similar high-tech sectors.
  • Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies, with practical experience applying PMI or PMBOK frameworks.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering results under tight deadlines.
  • Effective communicator in English with negotiation experience; proficiency in German is an advantage.
  • Customer-focused, highly collaborative, and adaptable to dynamic project environments.
