iO Associates have partnered with a cleantech innovator developing innovative chemical technologies to recycle advanced materials. We’re seeking a Lead Composites Engineer to spearhead the development of their chemical recycling technology, a breakthrough in resin removal and fibre recovery.
This is a hands‑on, autonomous role where you’ll shape fibre processing strategy, lead pilot plant development, and manage high‑impact projects across aerospace, defence, automotive, and renewables.
What you’ll do:
- Develop new products using recovered fibres (carbon, aramid, UHMWPE, glass)
- Prototype parts and benchmark fibre performance
- Lead internal and external projects using structured delivery tools
- Contribute to grant proposals and technical scoping
What we’re looking for:
- Strong knowledge of carbon fibre manufacturing or composites recycling
- Hands‑on experience with fibre samples and prototyping
- Project management skills (Gantt, critical path, Scrum)
- Bonus: CAD, LCA, or formal PM certification
