Role Summary

Our Client is seeking a talented Manufacturing Design Engineer to join their dynamic Manufacturing Design Engineering (MDE) team. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving improvements to products and processes to support manufacturing growth and innovation projects. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and quality of product delivery, ensuring high-value products are developed on time and to rigorous standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide feedback on Design for Manufacture to Product Design and New Product Launch teams
  • Manage product specifications and Bill of Materials (BOMs)
  • Lead multiple projects in collaboration with Operations and Engineering Teams
  • Investigate and resolve technical challenges on PCBA to support manufacturing processes
  • Release, update, and control Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Offer technical guidance to Supply Chain and Outsourcing teams
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions
  • Generate, review, and approve Engineering Change Orders

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Degree qualified in Manufacturing Engineering, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in Lean manufacturing practices such as 5S, VSM, SMED, and cellular manufacturing
  • Proficiency in CAD design, particularly Fixture & tooling design
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Data Analysis for root cause analysis
  • Willingness to travel to other sites for extended periods for process improvement

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Familiarity with Electrical Troubleshooting
  • Background in Data Analysis using defect data
