You've built expertise in data analytics, and maybe in AI or data governance too. You've solved real problems in a real organisation, and you know what good looks like. Now you want to do something different with that experience: coach working professionals to build the same capabilities in their own jobs.
Full-time preferred, two to four days a week considered, anywhere in the UK: we want to hear from you.
Why iO-Sphere
- Learning by doing. Learners do real work on real problems, and on some programmes in Prism, our simulated business built on 500 million rows of real data.
- Room to build. The programmes are new and evolving. If you see a better way to teach something, we'll put it in.
What you'll do
Coach working professionals on our apprenticeships. They stay in their jobs, so every piece of work is about their employer's data. You'll lead on our Level 4 Data Analyst programme, and take on other lanes if your background fits:
- Data Analytics (Level 4 Data Analyst). SQL, Excel, Power BI, analytical thinking and data storytelling
- AI Transformation. AI tools, workflow automation, business analysis and change management
- Data & AI Strategy and Governance. Data governance, AI governance, GDPR, risk and compliance frameworks
Day to day, that means:
- Running live group coaching sessions built on scenarios and direct feedback, not slides
- Carrying a caseload and knowing every learner on it
- Holding a monthly one-to-one with each learner, and a quarterly review with each learner and their employer
- Marking work within 48 hours, including the portfolio evidence that counts towards the qualification
- Preparing learners for their end-point assessment, the independent assessment at the end of the apprenticeship
- Tracking progress and stepping in early when someone is struggling
- Keeping accurate records and evidence (we're regulated, so organisation matters)
What you’ll need
- Data Analytics. Deep, hands‑on SQL, Excel and Power BI, turning data into insights that drive decisions
- Ideally, AI or governance too. AI tools and workflow automation, or GDPR, governance frameworks and risk
Plus:
- The ability to explain complex ideas to non-technical people without dumbing them down
- You enjoy working with people and get energy from helping others succeed
And the right mindset:
- Takes ownership and follows through
- An eye for improvement: you notice what could be better
- Organised and reliable
- Comfortable in a fast-moving environment
No teaching experience required. If you haven't coached before, we'll train you, and we fund your Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET).
How we hire
- Screening call (about 30 minutes). With our People and Culture lead, on your background and motivation, including our safeguarding questions.
- Behavioural interview. A conversation with the team you'd work with about how you've handled real situations at work.
- Mini-teach. Our work sample for coaching roles: you run a short session for the delivery team, as you would for learners.
- Final call. With our Managing Director, to talk through the offer, salary and start date.
