- Salary: £40,000 to £60,000, depending on experience (pro rata part-time)
- Start: As soon as possible You'll begin on our data analytics Skills Bootcamp, then move on to our data and AI apprenticeships. The mix depends on your background and what we're running.
- Eligibility: Unrestricted right to work in the UK. We cannot offer visa sponsorship.
You've built expertise in data analytics, data governance or business analysis. You've solved real problems, worked through ambiguity, and you know what good looks like in your field. Now you want to do something different with that experience: coach career changers and working professionals to build the same capabilities.
You bring deep expertise in at least one area. Full-time or two to four days a week, London, Oxford or elsewhere in the UK: we want to hear from you.
Why iO-Sphere
- Learning by doing. Learners do real work on real problems, and on some programmes in Prism, our simulated business built on 500 million rows of real data.
- Room to build. The programmes are new and evolving. If you see a better way to teach something, we'll put it in.
What you'll do
Coach across our data and AI programmes, starting with career changers on our Skills Bootcamp. Your background decides which areas you lead on, but you won't be stuck in one narrow lane:
- Data Analytics. SQL, Excel, Power BI, analytical thinking and data storytelling
- AI Transformation. AI tools, workflow automation, business analysis and change management
- Data & AI Strategy and Governance. Data governance, AI governance, GDPR, risk and compliance frameworks
Day to day, that means:
- Delivering engaging, practical coaching sessions in your areas
- Guiding learners through Prism projects using real, messy data
- Giving clear, constructive feedback on their work and on how they communicate their thinking
- Coaching the soft skills too: critical thinking, stakeholder communication, professional presence
- Running one-to-one coaching conversations that build confidence and momentum
- Tracking progress and stepping in early when someone is struggling
- Keeping accurate records and evidence (we're regulated, so organisation matters)
- Working with the wider coaching and quality teams
Beyond our funded programmes you'll also coach on our commercial training, so there are different learners and fresh challenges, and real room to contribute beyond your core coaching role as we grow.
What you'll need
Deep expertise in at least one of these:
- Data Analytics. SQL, Excel, Power BI, turning data into insights that drive decisions
- AI Transformation. AI tools, workflow automation, business analysis and leading change
- Data & AI Strategy and Governance. GDPR, governance frameworks, risk, compliance and organisational controls
Plus:
- The ability to explain complex ideas to non-technical people without dumbing them down
- You enjoy working with people and get energy from helping others succeed
And the right mindset:
- Takes ownership and follows through
- An eye for improvement: you notice what could be better
- Organised and reliable
- Comfortable in a fast-moving environment
No teaching experience required. If you haven't coached before, we'll train you, and we fund your Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET).
How we hire
- Screening call (about 30 minutes). With our People and Culture lead, on your background and motivation, including our safeguarding questions.
- Behavioural interview. A conversation with the team you'd work with about how you've handled real situations at work.
- Mini-teach. Our work sample for coaching roles: you run a short session for the delivery team, as you would for learners.
- Final call. With our Managing Director, to talk through the offer, salary and start date.
