IO Interactive is looking for a motivated and talented Legal Counsel to support our global studios and innovative projects. As a part of our legal team, you’ll play an essential role in ensuring our games and publishing initiatives run smoothly and align with legal and regulatory requirements.

We’re currently working on two major titles: Project 007, featuring an original James Bond storyline, and Project Fantasy, a revolutionary online fantasy RPG for console and PC. Beyond these projects, we continue to support our acclaimed Hitman games and are growing our publishing portfolio, including titles such as MindsEye from Build A Rocket Boy.

This role is available on-site in either Copenhagen or Brighton. We offer 3 days in the studio and 2 days working from elsewhere.

What You Will Do

  1. Draft and negotiate contracts and agreements related to strategic partnerships, intellectual property licensing, merchandise, music, multimedia, game development, and publishing.
  2. Provide legal guidance to business leaders and teams on matters such as intellectual property, privacy, content moderation, compliance, and marketing.
  3. Assist in navigating regulatory challenges with support from internal and external legal advisors.
  4. Contribute to cross-functional projects, ensuring legal considerations are integrated into decision-making.

Who You Are

  1. Mandatory Education: You hold a legal qualification (e.g., Master of Laws or LL.M.) from Denmark or the United Kingdom.
  2. Experience: Open to candidates with varying levels of experience, including recent graduates.
  3. You are excited about gaining experience in the legal aspects of video game development and publishing, and you’re ready to grow with guidance from experienced mentors.
  4. You approach challenges with a practical mindset, finding solutions that balance legal requirements with creative and business objectives.
