IO Interactive is looking for a skilled Tools Programmer to join our Backbone team and help power the tech behind our games. You’ll be working across multiple flagship projects - our James Bond game, 007 First Light, our ambitious Project Fantasy, and the HITMAN universe - building and evolving tools in our proprietary Glacier engine. Together with artists, designers, and programmers, you’ll create robust, user-friendly workflows that let our teams move faster, experiment more, and bring world‑class gameplay to life.
What You Will Do
- Collaborate to design and upgrade the Glacier editor and tools, empowering content creators.
- Engage with users to understand production requirements and streamline workflows.
- Customize and integrate tools to meet project needs.
- Create user-friendly interfaces for efficient usage.
- Integrate tools with version control systems.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies.
- Ensure high quality through testing and security measures.
- Continuously improve tools based on feedback and project demands.
Who You Are
- Have experience working in the gaming industry.
- Proficient in C# and C++ with strong code design skills.
- Familiarity with WPF or similar UI technologies preferred.
- Capable of task breakdown, estimation, and participating in task assessments.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, adept at discerning user needs.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent required.
- Master's degree preferred.
