This role is for a senior VMware specialist joining a global remote support team focused on complex enterprise VMware environments, particularly around Tanzu, Kubernetes, NSX and the wider VMware stack.
Importantly, this is not traditional ticket support. The work is centred around high-level troubleshooting, platform stabilisation, upgrades, performance issues and complex escalations across mission-critical environments. You'd operate as a senior SME, stepping into difficult technical situations and helping enterprise customers resolve issues across infrastructure, networking and Kubernetes-based platforms.
The setup is flexible and operates more like an on-demand SME model than a standard full-time contract. Engineers typically support multiple client environments remotely, focusing on interesting technical problems rather than BAU administration.

- Hands-on Tanzu / TKG and Kubernetes experience
- Experience with:
- upgrades & lifecycle management
- troubleshooting complex multi-component environments

- monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Log Insight or vROPS
- Strong customer-facing communication skills
- Part-time / on-demand engagement
- Fully remote
- Outside IR35

- Flexible workload depending on demand
- Some out-of-hours escalation support required
