We are supporting a major housing association with the transition from analogue to digital systems, and are now looking for a contractor to assess the current infrastructure across around 100 sites in the London/South East region.
This role involves visiting housing estates and private residences to assess existing technology, such as:
- Telecare/emergency alert systems
- Lift alarms
- Fire panels and alerting mechanisms
- CCTV and monitoring equipment
You will record your findings using structured templates and photos, engage respectfully with residents and site staff, and provide valuable insight that supports future digital upgrade plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visit properties across London, Hemel Hempstead, Milton Keynes, and surrounding areas
- Identify and document all analogue systems in use
- Complete detailed reports using digital forms
- Engage with stakeholders onsite to explain the purpose of the visit
- Escalate safety or service concerns where needed
Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong interpersonal and customer-facing skills
- Experience working on-site or in housing, care, or facilities
- Knowledge of systems like telecare, fire alarms, lift alarms, CCTV
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
- Strong Microsoft skills/data entry proficiency
- Eligible for DBS checks
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable:
- Experience working with vulnerable residents
- Previous roles with housing associations or local authorities
- Awareness of digital telecare systems or related tech
