iO Associates are working with a Systems Integrator that works closely with the Ministry of Defence and other UK Defence and Maritime clients to provide world class, secure communication networks.
This client has an exciting opportunity that will be perfect for recent or upcoming Service Leavers to join them as a Technical Services Manager.
You will take ownership of support cases within a high-security defence communications environment. The role will oversee case management, engineer visits, process improvement, and customer liaison to ensure effective service delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Manage all technical support cases, coordinating across engineering and project teams to ensure effective resolution.

Provide clear updates and briefings to senior management on case progress and actions.

Plan and manage engineer site visits, ensuring correct equipment, logistics, and commercial arrangements are in place.

Liaise with defence customers on technical and commercial aspects of support cases.

Capture and track support trends, identifying improvements to processes and documentation.
-
Manage small-scale projects within support or obsolescence programmes.

Oversee escalation processes, ensuring issues are tracked and resolved effectively.

Deliver training to 1st and 2nd line support staff and assist with on-boarding new engineers.

Support the introduction of new government services, including documentation and handover notes.

Monitor and manage spare parts stock, supporting procurement as required.

Act as a trusted technical point of contact for complex support issues, both virtually and on-site.
What We\βre Looking For
- Experience working and handling CIS / WE products in a Military / Naval background.

Experience coordinating engineering teams and managing technical case resolution.
- Ability to lead junior team members.

This role would suit an ex Royal Navy (CIS/WE Comms) person who has left/leaving at a senior level and therefore will have the hands on experience of the communications equipment as well as the management and organisation level to quickly pick up the commercial elements of the role.
