Senior Java Engineer / Tech Lead – Contract I'm looking for a Senior Java Engineer / Tech Lead to join a large-scale product modernisation programme. This is a hands-on role working across a complex brownfield Java platform . Alongside solving complex technical problems and helping stabilise and modernise the product, you'll play a key role in coaching and mentoring the wider engineering team as they transition towards AI-assisted development . Looking for: Strong hands-on Java engineering experience Tech Lead experience, including coaching and mentoring engineers Experience with complex brownfield / legacy products Experience helping engineering teams adopt AI within their development practices Exposure to Spec Driven Development or similar approaches Comfortable getting into the code and solving complex technical problems Contract: Initial 6 months Rate: £400 day IR35: Outside IR35 Location: Remote Moving quickly with initial conversations taking place tomorrow - Friday 18th September.
