A skilled SC Cleared Software Engineer with strong Java and cloud development experience is required for an innovative organisation delivering cloud-based geospatial software solutions used in complex, data-driven environments. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying scalable cloud-native applications within a collaborative Agile Scrum team. Working across the full software development lifecycle, you will contribute to the delivery of secure, high-quality software while supporting continuous improvement and best engineering practices.
The role offers a hybrid working model based in Newcastle, with four days onsite and Fridays working remotely.
KEY REQUIREMENTS- Active SC Clearance
- Strong commercial experience developing applications in Java
- Experience building and deploying cloud-based services
- Solid understanding of unit testing and automated testing practices
- Experience working within Agile Scrum delivery teams
- DevSecOps tools such as Tekton, ArgoCD, and SonarQube
- Kubernetes and/or Red Hat OpenShift
- Quarkus framework
- Front-end development experience with Angular
- Experience working within highly regulated or security-conscious environments
