A fast-growing European defence security technology business, who develop autonomous systems and unmanned platforms, is hiring a Systems Safety Specialist to support safety-critical programmes from early concept through to certification.
Role responsibility:
- Own maintain hazard logs, safety requirements and safety assurance evidence
- Lead Functional Hazard Assessment
- Functional Hazard Analysis activity and workshops
- Produce and contribute to safety cases and certification artefacts
- Deliver FMEA/FMECA, failure mode, criticality and maintainability inputs
- Support demonstrator/new product programmes.
What we're looking for:
- Proven systems safety background in aerospace, defence, UAS/UAV, automotive or other safety-critical domains
- Working knowledge of standards such as ARP4754A/ARP4761 DEF STAN 00-056 (Nice-to-have) ISO 26262/IEC 61508
- Strong stakeholder skills, proven ability to influence engineering teams and programme leadership
