A skilled SC Cleared Software Engineer with strong Java and cloud development experience is required for an innovative organisation delivering cloud-based geospatial software solutions used in complex, data-driven environments.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying scalable cloud-native applications within a collaborative Agile Scrum team. Working across the full software development lifecycle, you will contribute to the delivery of secure, high-quality software while supporting continuous improvement and best engineering practices.

The role offers a hybrid working model based in Newcastle, with four days onsite and Fridays working remotely.

KEY REQUIREMENTS
  • Active SC Clearance
  • Proven experience as a Software Architect or Senior Technical Lead
  • Strong background in software architecture and solution design
  • Experience working within complex enterprise or mission-critical environments
  • Ability to balance technical, business, and security requirements
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
  • Defence, aerospace, or space sector experience
  • Experience working within highly regulated environments
  • Knowledge of secure software development and system integration
  • Experience supporting Agile delivery teams
