iO Associates is currently partnered with an independent security consultancy delivering a major cross-government secure IT transformation programme, and they're looking to bring in an experienced Senior Solution Architect to join one of their secure delivery squads.
This is an opportunity to work on high-impact national infrastructure projects, helping architect secure private cloud environments and modernise critical end-user services within highly secure public sector environments.
The role will suit someone who enjoys being hands-on within delivery teams, shaping architectural direction while collaborating closely with engineers, stakeholders, and Agile squads to deliver secure, scalable solutions at pace.
Key experience includes:
- Solution architecture within secure or regulated environments
- On-premises, hybrid cloud, and enterprise integration architectures
- Microservices and distributed systems
- Security-focused solution design and assurance
- Agile / Scrum delivery environments
- Stakeholder engagement and technical leadership
- Public sector, government, defence, or secure programme experience
Bonus experience:
- Kubernetes or Google Dedicated Cloud (GDC)
- Disconnected / air-gapped environments
- GDS standards, NCSC guidance, or Cabinet Office governance
- SAFe Agile environments / PI Planning
- TOGAF, AWS, or Google Cloud certifications
- Active SC Clearance or above
