Role: Business Development Manager
Type: Permanent
Salary: £60,000-£70,000 base salary (DOE) plus uncapped commission
Location: Hybrid - home-based with regional travel across the South of England, occasional office visits
iO Associates is working with a growing healthtech business supporting NHS trusts with digital and AI-driven solutions that improve clinical pathways, operational efficiency, and patient flow. The company is experiencing year-on-year growth, driven by genuine NHS demand and strong return on investment for trusts. Their products are already in use across secondary care and continue to expand into new clinical and operational areas.
This is a Business Development Manager role focused on winning new business within NHS trusts and building long-term, consultative relationships. You'll own deals end-to-end, working closely with clinical and operational stakeholders through complex NHS sales cycles. This position would suit someone in their first or second BDM role, or an SDR/BDR ready to step up into more ownership and earning potential.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop new business within NHS trusts
- Own and expand a small number of named NHS trust accounts
- Lead meetings with operational and clinical decision-makers (up to C-suite level)
- Manage long and complex sales cycles
- Work closely with delivery teams and stay involved post-sale
- Attend conferences and events to build pipeline and relationships
- Experience selling into the NHS (desirable if it's within a clinical pathways or secondary care environment)
- Good understanding of NHS structures, trusts, and buying processes
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience owning deals end-to-end or ready to step into that responsibility
- Resilient with longer sales cycles
