About the Role

As a Junior Product Development Engineer, you\’ll play a hands-on role in the R&D team, contributing to the design, prototyping, and testing of advanced nebulisation technologies. Your work will directly influence the next generation of drug delivery devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineers and researchers to drive product development forward.

  • Support development and optimisation of nebuliser technologies.

  • Translate product requirements into technical solutions.

  • Generate, evaluate, and develop new design concepts.

  • Prototype components and design test fixtures.

  • Conduct and troubleshoot experiments to verify technical solutions.

  • Assist with 3D printing and prototype assembly.

  • Record, analyse, and interpret experimental results accurately.

  • Work in compliance with ISO13485 standards.

  • Contribute to risk management activities (e.g., dFMEA).

  • Maintain a clean and organised laboratory environment.

About You
Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • BSc/BEng (or equivalent) in product design, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum of 2 years\’ experience in a product development role (exceptional recent graduates will also be considered).

  • Practical experience with component design, prototyping, and use of lab/test equipment.

  • Comfortable working in both dry and wet lab environments.

  • Understanding of experimental design and data analysis.

Desirable Skills:

  • 3D CAD modelling (SolidWorks or similar).

  • Experience with statistical tools (Excel, Minitab, or similar).

  • Simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL).

  • Basic programming (Python, Arduino IDEs).

  • Familiarity with mechanical workshop tools and techniques.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

  • Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
