A fast-growing advanced manufacturing / high-tech engineering business is looking to hire a Product Assurance Engineer to strengthen its quality and customer-facing investigation capability. This is an on-site role in the South West of England, supporting complex, precision-built products used in demanding environments.
The role (high level):
- You'll take ownership of product-related quality investigations across multiple value streams, with a strong focus on:
- Customer returns / RMA management end-to-end
- Non-conformance control and driving effective containment
- Leading / supporting MRB (Material Review Board) activity
- Owning / driving CAPA activity and preventing repeat defects
- Working cross-functionally with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain
- Producing clear, structured investigation updates and reports for internal and external stakeholders
What they're looking for:
- Experience in Product Assurance / Quality Engineering / Manufacturing Quality
- Strong hands-on use of structured problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, Pareto)
- Confident working in an engineering/manufacturing environment with tight quality requirements
- Comfortable managing multiple investigations and priorities at once
- Engineering degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Nice to have: Exposure to precision assembly / test environments (high-reliability, regulated, or complex electromechanical products)
- Lean / CI mindset (Six Sigma experience beneficial)
- Supplier quality / incoming quality exposure
