I'm looking for an experienced Technical Architect to support a major programme focused on evolving and modernising a complex service-oriented architecture environment. This is a hands-on architectural leadership role requiring strong stakeholder engagement, technical analysis, and strategic design capability. The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing the current architecture, defining future-state technical direction, and guiding development teams through scalable and resilient architectural improvements.
Experience Required
- Proven experience working as a Technical Architect within complex enterprise environments
- Strong background in service-oriented and distributed system architecture
- Experience designing scalable, resilient, and maintainable platforms
- Strong understanding of API design and service communication protocols
- Experience with messaging technologies and event-driven architectures
- Knowledge of data integration, data flows, and system interoperability
- Experience working with Java-based enterprise applications and environments
- Ability to produce high-quality architectural documentation and diagrams
- Strong stakeholder management and technical communication skills
- Experience supporting Agile or incremental delivery environments
- Ability to evaluate technical risks, dependencies, and architectural trade-offs
- Experience defining technical standards, governance, and best practices
