About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled OT Cyber Security Cloud Specialist to support our defence client in securing Operational Technology (OT) systems integrated with cloud environments. This role focuses on protecting critical infrastructure (e.g., defence platforms, energy networks) using advanced cloud security practices. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in OT cybersecurity, cloud architecture, and HPC integration, with a proven track record in high-assurance settings. This is a long-term opportunity to shape secure, resilient solutions for national security priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement cybersecurity measures for OT systems (e.g., SCADA, PLCs) integrated with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure GovCloud).
Conduct threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments (TVRA) for OT/cloud hybrid environments.
Develop and enforce security policies aligned with IEC 62443, NIST 800-82, and JSP 440 standards.
Collaborate with stakeholders to embed security by design in OT/cloud deployments, including HPC clusters.
Lead incident response and recovery for OT/cloud security breaches, coordinating with UKIC or reservist teams.
Provide technical assurance and compliance reporting to senior leaders and regulators.
Mentor cross-functional teams on OT/cloud security best practices.
Essential Skills & Experience
Extensive experience in OT cybersecurity, including system design, monitoring, and protection (e.g., SCADA, IoT sensors).
Proven expertise in cloud security (e.g., AWS IoT, Azure Sentinel) and OT/cloud integration.
Hands-on knowledge of HPC security, including controls and classifications in classified environments.
Active DV or eDV clearance; UKIC or reservist background highly desirable.
Strong understanding of central government security processes (e.g., JSPs, NCSC guidance).
Experience conducting TVRA and managing security incidents in fast-paced settings.
Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across government and defence.
Desirable Skills
Experience with Akamai Edge solutions for OT/cloud API protection.
Familiarity with zero-trust architectures (e.g., Okta, Zscaler) in OT contexts.
Certifications: CISSP, GICSP, CCSP, or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor.
