Overview
One of our UK Policing clients is mobilising a major Records Management System Replacement Programme, one of the most significant and complex change initiatives the force has undertaken in recent years. We are looking for an experienced RMS Configuration Analyst to play a key role in shaping, configuring, and enabling the new system to support operational policing requirements. This is a 12-month engagement focused on delivering high-quality configuration in line with agreed business requirements, target design, and policing standards. The successful candidate will work closely with programme teams, business stakeholders, architects, and the Niche supplier.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure Niche RMS in line with approved designs, standards, and policing requirements
- Translate business and operational requirements into effective system configuration
- Configure modules, entities, workflows, forms, rules, and validations
- Support configuration of mandatory fields, business logic, and role-based access controls
- Align configuration with wider data migration activity
- Support integrations and interfaces where required
- Provide configuration support across testing, rehearsal, and production environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve configuration-related issues
- Document configuration decisions, outcomes, and handover materials
- Support knowledge transfer to internal post-implementation support teams
- Help deliver configuration activity at pace to meet programme milestones and migration timelines
Required Experience
- Proven hands-on experience configuring any RMS System
- Strong understanding of RMS data structures, workflows, and configuration options
- Experience configuring security roles, permissions, validations, and business rules
- Ability to configure solutions that support high-volume operational use
- Strong experience translating requirements into practical system solutions
- Experience working closely with stakeholders across programme, business, and technical teams
- Strong documentation and knowledge transfer capability
Highly Desirable
- Previous experience working within other UK policing or criminal justice environments
- Awareness of compliance, audit, and information management requirements
- Experience supporting large-scale transformation or RMS replacement programmes
