Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Business Designer to support a Command & Control programme, working closely with and reporting into the Data & Design Lead. This role sits at the heart of a high-profile operational policing programme and requires an individual who is highly detail-oriented, methodical, and comfortable working within complex, regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyse, and document detailed business and user requirements across Command & Control operations
- Support service and business design activities, ensuring solutions are user-centred, operationally effective, and data-informed
- Work closely with the Data & Design Lead to align business needs with data, process, and design outputs
- Produce high-quality artefacts including:
- Business requirements documents (BRDs)
- Process maps and workflows (AS-IS / TO-BE)
- User journeys and service blueprints
- Functional and non-functional requirements
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst and/or Business Designer on complex transformation programmes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of information accurately
- Experience working in public sector, policing, emergency services, or similarly regulated environments (highly desirable)
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior and operational users
- Experience working closely with data, design, and delivery teams
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
