Role: Contract Atlassian Migration Consultant
Rate: £500 to 600 per day Outside IR35 (DOE)
Duration: Initial 6 months, with strong likelihood of extension
Location: Predominantly remote, with occasional visits to customer sites across London, the Midlands, Glasgow, and Edinburgh, typically once per month, depending on the project.
iO Associates are partnering with a specialist consultancy delivering large-scale transformation and migration programmes for financial services and public sector clients. Due to continued demand, they are seeking an experienced Atlassian Migration Consultant to support multi-year Data Centre to Cloud migration initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and deliver Atlassian migration projects from Data Centres to Cloud across enterprise environments
- Assess existing Jira, Confluence and Jira Service Management (JSM) estates and define cloud migration strategies
- Execute complex migrations, including data, workflows, permissions, apps and integrations
- Work directly with client stakeholders, acting as a trusted technical advisor
- Manage and contribute to programme-level delivery across multiple customers
- Produce migration documentation, runbooks and post-migration support handover
- Collaborate with broader teams to deliver high-quality outcomes
- Proven Atlassian Data Centre to Cloud migration experience (hands-on delivery)
- Atlassian certifications (ACP level or higher preferred): ACP certifications across Jira, Confluence, or JSM strongly valued
- Strong technical experience across: Jira Software, Confluence, Jira Service Management (JSM)
- Previous delivery within regulated or enterprise-scale environments
- Broader platform migration or transformation experience beyond Atlassian
- Experience integrating or migrating alongside Microsoft platforms (Azure AD, M365) or ServiceNow
- Multiple Atlassian certifications (Associate / Professional / Specialist designations)
