I'm currently recruiting for a Network Engineer to join a specialist team supporting a large-scale public sector network environment. You'll work across complex Cisco infrastructure, supporting WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN and data centre connectivity, while contributing to wider technology projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Cisco ACI, Nexus and Catalyst switching environments
- Manage Cisco and Check Point firewalls, VPNs and network security
- Support WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, WLCs, APNs and data centre connectivity
- Work with Azure/O365 connectivity, Load Balancers and IPAM
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues
- Contribute to local, regional and national network projects
Required Experience:
- Strong Network Engineering experience, ideally with Cisco CCNP or equivalent
- Good knowledge of BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, NAT/PAT and IPSec
- Experience with Cisco/Check Point firewalls and network security
- Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, VoIP/SIP and PKI
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
- CCNP certification or equivalent
- Experience within public sector, government, defence or other secure environments
- Experience with Cisco ACI and cloud connectivity
Clearance Requirements:
- Active SC Clearance
