The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Transmission Protection FAT Tester to join a specialist team supporting major transmission projects.
You'll be hands-on with protection panel FAT, scheme testing, fault finding and snag clearance within a factory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out protection panel FAT, functional/scheme testing and secondary injection testing.
- Perform Omicron testing, numerical relay testing, fault finding and snag clearance.
- Test and verify 132k V, 275k V and 400k V transmission protection systems.
- Configure and check protection relays across platforms such as Siemens SIPROTEC/DIGSI, ABB/Hitachi PCM600, GE Multilin/Ener Vista, SEL or Schneider Mi COM.
What We're Looking For
- Proven hands-on experience with protection panel FAT and Omicron secondary injection testing.
- Genuine transmission protection experience at 132k V+ is essential.
- Experience with numerical relays and fault finding.
- Suitable backgrounds include Protection & Control, Protection/Test, Relay Test, Commissioning or Protection Technician roles.
Important
Industrial/distribution-only experience (e. g. 11k V/33k V) is not suitable. This role specifically requires transmission protection testing experience at 132k V+.
