Server Patching Engineer - TSSA / BladeLogic

Inside IR35 | Newbury / Hybrid | 3 Months | Immediate Start

We’re looking for an experienced TSSA / BladeLogic Engineer to join an enterprise environment on an initial 3-month contract, with an immediate start available.

The key requirement is strong, hands-on experience with BMC TrueSight Server Automation (TSSA / BladeLogic) across large-scale server environments.

The role

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing Windows and Linux patching across enterprise server estates
  • Creating, scheduling and monitoring Patch Analysis, Deployment and Remediation Jobs using TSSA
  • Carrying out remote software deployment and upgrades
  • Analysing vulnerabilities and delivering vulnerability remediation
  • Troubleshooting TSSA job failures, RSCD agent issues and deployment problems
  • Developing automation using PowerShell, Bash or Shell scripting
  • Producing patch compliance, deployment and remediation reports
  • Working closely with infrastructure, security, application and change management teams

Key requirements

  • Strong hands-on BMC TSSA / BladeLogic experience
  • Enterprise-scale Windows and Linux patching
  • Experience with vulnerability remediation
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across TSSA and RSCD agents
  • PowerShell, Bash or Shell scripting experience
  • Good understanding of change, security and infrastructure processes
