Role: Contract Technical Product Manager / Product Owner

Location: London; 3 days per week onsite

Duration: Initial 12-month contract (2+ year programme)

Day Rate: £500 per day (Outside IR35)

Clearance: Active SC Clearance required (Willingness to undergo DV Clearance)

What you'll do:

  • Define and support the product vision for your squad and area of responsibility
  • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it reflects the highest value work aligned to programme priorities
  • Lead requirements workshops and translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria and functional specifications
  • Break down outcomes into clear, deliverable technical tasks for engineering teams
  • Act as the voice of the customer, gathering feedback and ensuring solutions meet user needs
  • Support sprint planning and backlog refinement, prioritising work based on value and feasibility
  • Drive continuous improvement by refining backlog and adapting to feedback and delivery changes
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across product, engineering and programme teams

Key requirements:

  • Proven experience delivering cloud-native solutions, specifically within Google Cloud environments.
  • Strong people management skills with a track record of guiding technical squads and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience navigating complex, regulated UK Government or secure environments.
  • Deep experience with backlog ownership, user story writing, and scaled Agile frameworks.
