iO are now partnered with a leader in UAV technology who are looking for a Regulatory and Safety professional to join on a permanent basis. You will be ensuring compliance with aviation and safety standards across the UK, Europe and the USA. This involves combining strategic regulatory engagement, operational authorisation management and safety oversight in a fast-paced industry.
What will you be doing?
- Securing operational authorisation from (CAA, MAA, EASA, FAA)
- Managing change process and permissions for drone operations.
- Administering Safety Management Systems and supporting hazard identification & risk assessments.
- Securing permissions (SORA, PDRA)
- Travel within the UK and internationally, representing the business at regulatory meetings and industry events.
Requirements:
- Degree educated in Aviation, Safety or similar
- Understanding of UK and international regulatory framework (CAA, MAA, EASA, FAA)
- Experience in regulatory compliance and safety management.
- Willingness to travel and work across jurisdictions.
This role is perfect for someone who has a solid understanding of the move from OCS to SORA more recently and comes with a provable background in UAV / drone technology and associated regulations & compliance. This role is mostly remote, however there will be some travel required to customer/client sites, including some international travel for industry-specific meetups and events.
