We are currently looking for two Junior Project Managers to join a growing defence technology environment delivering complex and innovative programmes across secure government and defence sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for Project Managers with experience in product development, research, consultancy, or engineering-led environments who are looking to develop their career within highly secure and technically advanced projects.
The Role
You will support the delivery of projects and change programmes, working closely with Project Managers and delivery teams to ensure projects are delivered to schedule, budget, and quality expectations. The role requires strong organisation skills, stakeholder coordination, risk management awareness, and the ability to work in a fast-paced delivery environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop project plans, schedules, and resource allocation plans.
- Track project progress against milestones and timelines.
- Support project governance, reporting, and documentation management.
- Coordinate project meetings, actions, and status updates.
- Assist with risk and issue identification and escalation.
- Support budget tracking and resource planning activities.
Requirements
- Experience working within project delivery environments.
- Exposure to product development, research, consultancy, or engineering projects.
- Understanding of project management methodologies APM, Prince2, PMI or equivalent qualification (or working towards).
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure.
Additional Information
- Hybrid working model (2 days onsite in Hampshire).
- Preference for candidates located locally to Hampshire.
