Overview
We’re seeking a GCP Test Engineer to support testing and assurance of secure cloud platforms within a government transformation programme. The role focuses on validating cloud-native services, infrastructure, and integrations in restricted, high‑assurance environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support testing and assurance of cloud-hosted and cloud-native platforms
- Validate infrastructure, deployments, configurations, and integrations
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices
- Support integration, regression, resilience, and operational readiness testing
- Analyse defects, risks, and system issues in complex environments
- Work closely with DevSecOps, platform engineers, and architects
- Contribute to test standards, tooling, and continuous improvement
- Support API and service-level testing across cloud platforms
Required Experience
- Hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Strong understanding of Agile, DevOps, and DevSecOps practices
- Experience with integration, infrastructure, and API testing
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing approaches
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes, containers, and Infrastructure‑as‑Code (e.g. Terraform)
- Experience working in secure or regulated environments (government preferred)
- Ability to analyse defects and support root‑cause analysis
- Exposure to Google Distributed Cloud or air‑gapped environments
- Experience with automation frameworks or scripting (e.g. Python)
- Performance, resilience, or security testing experience
- Cloud or testing certifications

Must hold active SC or DV clearance. Must be UK national and DV eligible.
