A fast‑growing digital transformation consultancy in the higher education sector is hiring a Client Delivery & Growth Manager to own and lead its data‑focused project streams as the business continues to scale. This is a senior, hands‑on role combining delivery leadership, team building and relationship‑led growth, where you’ll play a key part in driving revenue, expanding client partnerships, and growing a core division of the business.
You’ll have real autonomy to run engagements end‑to‑end, build your own delivery teams, and directly shape the growth of this area of the consultancy – all while working on meaningful transformation programmes with flexible working.
Projects
- Digital and data transformation
- Integration platforms and student systems
- MI, reporting and enterprise change
- Operating model and delivery improvement
You’ll also build and lead blended teams (internal consultants and specialist associates), ensuring quality, pace, and commercial control.
Delivery leadership
- Lead complex consulting engagements from planning through to successful outcomes
- Run strong governance, RAID, reporting and stakeholder management
- Own commercials day‑to‑day: budgets, forecasting, scope and change control
- Ensure high‑quality, sustainable delivery that lands first time
Team & partner leadership
- Design delivery teams per engagement (internal + subcontractors)
- Onboard, manage and assure third‑party performance
- Coach teams, drive standards, and create a strong delivery rhythm
Business development & growth
- Build trusted senior relationships across client organisations
- Originate and qualify new opportunities from delivery insight and sector awareness
- Shape compelling proposals and lead bids through to close
- Contribute to larger strategic pursuits alongside senior leadership
Sector presence & thought leadership
- Represent the consultancy at conferences, events and roundtables
- Turn delivery outcomes into case studies, content and reusable assets
- Help strengthen propositions and market credibility
What we’re looking for
Essential
- Strong consulting delivery leadership experience with senior stakeholders
- Proven governance, planning and programme control
- Experience building and leading teams (including subcontractors/associates)
- Commercial awareness – shaping and delivering profitable work
- Track record of winning work or leading significant bid activity
- Confident relationship‑led business development and stakeholder engagement
- Excellent communication and workshop facilitation skills
- Willingness to travel across the UK as required
Desirable
- Higher education experience
- Background in data, integration, enterprise systems or transformation programmes
- Familiarity with procurement frameworks and compliant bids
- Thought leadership, speaking or content contribution
