iO Associates are working with an established reputable Private Investment company who are on the lookout for an experienced Data Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. As the Principal Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in architecting scalable data solutions, driving engineering best practices, and collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams to deliver impactful insights. You will be responsible for guiding the technical direction of the team, ensuring data quality and governance, and influencing the broader data strategy.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Several years of experience in Data Architecture
  • Expert in data architecture, software architecture and data model design.
  • Expert 'hands on' experience with cloud data platforms (Microsoft Fabric as a preference) and modern data warehousing.
  • Deep proficiency in data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical) across relational, dimensional, and NoSQL paradigms.
  • Skilled in data integration, ETL/ELT design, and API-driven architectures.
  • Experience with data governance, metadata management, and master data management.
