We're looking for an experienced Reward & Productivity SME to help take an existing field-engineer reward model from concept through to a practical, pilot-ready solution.

The foundations of the model are already in place, with input from senior stakeholders.

We now need someone who understands field-service reward and productivity and can quickly turn the thinking into something that can be tested with a live group of engineers.

The Role

  • Review and build on the existing reward model and design principles.
  • Turn the current thinking into a practical, implementable model.
  • Define how work is measured, weighted and rewarded, including appropriate treatment of complexity, travel and exceptions.
  • Develop the financial and operational calculations behind the model.
  • Test the model against real operational data and identify issues or unintended consequences.
  • Support the shadow phase.
  • Refine and calibrate the model based on findings.
  • Produce the documentation, governance and calculations required to move into a controlled paid pilot.
  • Provide a clear view of timescales, deliverables and effort required to get from the current position to pilot.

About You

We need someone who can hit the ground running. This is not an engagement where there is time to spend months understanding the environment.

You'll have

  • Proven experience designing field-service reward, incentive or productivity models.
  • Strong understanding of employed field engineering workforces.
  • Experience with Standard Hours, SMV/SAM or similar productivity methodologies.
  • Strong financial and operational modelling skills.
  • Experience taking reward models from design through shadow testing and into implementation/pilot.
  • The ability to work pragmatically with Operations, HR, Finance and senior stakeholders.
  • Ideally, direct experience in utilities, heating or comparable field-service environments.

The Engagement

  • This is a short-term, deliverable-led assignment with a clear focus on getting to a pilot-ready solution quickly.
  • We expect the successful SME to provide an initial view of how long the work will take, the key stages/deliverables and the associated cost.
