Job Title: Quality Manager (Chemicals)

As the most senior Quality professional on-site, you will work under the guidance of the Director of Quality and Regulatory Affairs to uphold and enhance quality standards across the board. This role offers an opportunity to not only carry responsibility but also to influence and shape the quality culture strategically.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Strategy: Actively contribute to the leadership of the Regulatory and Quality Group to drive governance and strategy.
  • Quality Oversight: Manage quality assurance activities through all stages, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the QA team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive improvement initiatives through methodologies like APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, 8D, and SPC.
  • Audit Leadership: Supervise internal and external audits, including customer, supplier, and regulatory body inspections.
  • Training: Provide training to enhance staff capabilities and compliance with the Quality Management System.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Quality Manager in a highly regulated, high-hazard environment like COMAH.
  • Background in chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Strong audit leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in QMS standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 13485, and AS9400.
  • Ability to engage effectively with key stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated success in shaping and embedding a positive quality culture.
