- Active SC clearance / SC cleared
- Strong systems design experience in AWS
- At least 2 years of Technical Architecture experience
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with Docker containerisation
- Experience with GitHub Actions
- Understanding of the architectural importance of Terraform
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to tailor technical specifications to different engineering disciplines
- Analytical or data platform background is highly advantageous
- Azure or GCP background is helpful if combined with AWS
- Central Government experience is desirable but not mandatory
Responsibilities
- Translate user requirements into system-level technical designs
- Break technical work down into discrete tickets with clear acceptance criteria for front-end, data, and DevOps engineers
- Review the existing AWS platform architecture and ensure alignment with AWS frameworks
- Maintain technical documentation
- Identify system design bottlenecks
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Liaise directly with DevOps to resolve technical issues
- Create sustainable high-level and low-level system designs using Mermaid for reusable diagrams
