Operations Engineer is required for a specialist UK defence and critical infrastructure organisation, recognised for delivering highly secure and resilient communications and infrastructure solutions across government, defence, healthcare, enterprise, and industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and support Linux and Windows infrastructure environments
  • Perform routine patching, system maintenance, and vulnerability remediation
  • Monitor infrastructure performance and proactively resolve operational issues
  • Troubleshoot incidents across networking, firewalls, virtualisation, and cloud platforms
  • Support change management activities in line with ITIL processes
  • Maintain accurate documentation, ticket updates, and operational records
Key Requirements
  • Experience working within Infrastructure Support, Operations Engineering, or Systems Support environments
  • Strong Linux and Windows administration/support experience
  • Good understanding of networking, firewalls, and virtualisation technologies
  • Exposure to cloud platforms and modern infrastructure environments
  • Experience working within ITIL-aligned environments
