About the Role
We're hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to support new vehicle programmes from concept through to series production. Working closely with Engineering and Operations teams, you'll help develop manufacturing processes, assembly concepts, and production strategies for future vehicle programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop vehicle assembly concepts and manufacturing processes
- Support new model introductions from prototype to production
- Create PFMEAs and process documentation
- Own and maintain Hours Per Car (HPC) data
- Conduct line balancing and time & motion studies
- Support facility layout and material flow improvements
- Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams to resolve production challenges
Required Experience
- Degree in Mechanical, Automotive Engineering, or similar (or equivalent experience)
- Experience within Manufacturing Engineering environments
- Knowledge of New Product Introduction (NPI), Vehicle assembly processes, Trim & Final Assembly, End-of-Line Processing and Process development and optimisation
- Experience in identifying and resolving manufacturing and quality issues
Nice to Have
- Automotive manufacturing experience
- Low-volume, high-value production environments
- DFMEA / PFMEA experience
- Assembly equipment specification and procurement
- Facility layout and material flow planning
