About the Role

We're supporting a global engineering and professional services organisation looking for a Consultant, Global Retirement & Financial Wellbeing to support the governance and delivery of its UK and European retirement programmes, employee share plans and financial wellbeing initiatives. The role has direct responsibility for the UK defined benefit (DB) pension arrangements, working closely with trustees, advisers, administrators and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the key contact for UK DB pension plans, trustees and advisers
  • Oversee day-to-day pension operations, adviser delivery and projects
  • Attend trustee meetings and support governance activities
  • Coordinate member communications and employee pension queries
  • Maintain governance records, trackers and reporting
  • Support year-end accounting, board assurance and governance requirements
  • Work with Payroll, Finance, Treasury, Legal and Rewards teams
  • Support global retirement, share plan and financial wellbeing initiatives
  • Assist with M&A pension due diligence and integration activities

Required Experience

  • Experience working with UK trust-based pension schemes
  • Background in pension operations, governance, secretarial or trustee matters
  • Exposure to defined benefit (DB) pensions
  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage projects and work independently

Nice to Have

  • Experience with pension risk transfer or scheme wind-up projects
  • Multinational/global organisation experience
  • HR committee reporting and risk management
