An experienced AI Engineer is required for an Outside IR35 contract. This is a hands-on role building greenfield AI systems for enterprise clients. The successful candidate will design and deploy practical applications using LLMs, RAG, vector databases, and agentic workflows. This is not a research position. The engineer must be able to write production-ready code, integrate with existing platforms, and turn business requirements into working software quickly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building agentic AI workflows and LLM-driven applications.
  • Designing RAG systems, vector retrieval pipelines, and knowledge bases.
  • Developing document intelligence and data extraction tools.
  • Creating backend services and integrating AI into existing business processes via APIs.
  • Delivering both client-facing enterprise projects and internal product features.

  • 8+ years of Python engineering.
  • 5+ years of Node.js / TypeScript engineering.
  • 4+ years of applied Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
  • Proven experience shipping reliable backend systems and APIs.
  • Deep understanding of LLMs, RAG, agentic frameworks, and vector databases.
  • Strong grasp of retrieval techniques, chunking, embeddings, and system evaluation.
  • Ability to translate vague client needs into technical solutions.
  • Focus on practical delivery over experimentation.
