The Role
We\’re looking for a skilled GCP Cloud Engineer to support secure cloud projects within the defence sector. You\’ll design, build, and manage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments, ensuring scalability, automation, and security compliance across mission-critical systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy secure, scalable GCP infrastructure.
- Automate provisioning and configuration with Terraform / Ansible.
- Embed DevSecOps practices and manage CI/CD pipelines.
- Support and optimise cloud performance across multiple environments.
- Collaborate with security and engineering teams to meet MOD/NCSC standards.
Skills & Experience
- Active SC Clearance (essential).
- Proven GCP engineering experience in secure or defence settings.
- Strong skills with Terraform, GKE, IAM, Networking, and CI/CD tools.
- Scripting in Python or Bash.
- Cloud certification (e.g. Google Professional Cloud Architect) – desirable.
