iO Associates are working exclusively with a growing technology consultancy, seeking a passionate Node.js Developer to join their software engineering team.
This is a mid-level, hands‑on position ideal for someone confident working independently. You\’ll play a key role in building and maintaining secure, high‑performing software hosted on AWS, collaborating with stakeholders and other developers across the business.
Due to the sensitive nature of the role, candidates should ideally hold an active Security Clearance (SC) or be eligible and willing to go through the SC vetting process, which requires a minimum of 5 years\’ UK residency.
Ideal Candidate
- 3+ years of proven experience developing with Node.js (Express, NestJS, or similar frameworks)
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, backend design, and integration best practices
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services (Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, etc.)
- Familiar with infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform or CloudFormation – desirable)
- Background in secure development or working to security standards
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
- Previous exposure to government or defence projects – desirable
Our client is a remote‑first business, with this role requiring occasional meetings in Gloucestershire.
