I’m currently recruiting for a Snowflake Lead Architect to join a major public sector technology programme, supporting the design, governance, and optimisation of an enterprise-scale Snowflake platform. This is a hands-on architecture role where you’ll help shape the future Snowflake operating model, improve platform capability, and support a wider team in maximising the value of the platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement enterprise-scale Snowflake architecture and platform solutions
- Lead platform engineering, governance, security, and optimisation activities
- Define best practices across RBAC, security controls, monitoring, observability, and FinOps
- Develop Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code solutions for Snowflake environments
- Support platform maturity assessments and define future operating models
- Knowledge share and help upskill internal teams on Snowflake capabilities
Required Experience:
- Strong experience as a Lead Architect / Snowflake Architect
- Extensive Snowflake Data Cloud design and implementation experience
- Experience delivering Snowflake platforms at enterprise scale
- Strong knowledge of Snowflake governance, security, RBAC, and optimisation
- Hands-on Terraform / Infrastructure as Code experience
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Background in platform engineering, automation, and CI/CD
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Snowflake certification or previous experience working directly with Snowflake
- Experience within Defence, Government, National Security, or other regulated environments
Clearance Requirements: Active SC Clearance is essential.
