iO Associates client is recruiting Principal Data Engineers to support a major greenfield data transformation programme built on a brand-new Microsoft Fabric platform. This initiative will establish the core data architecture, pipelines, and models that will underpin Power BI, enterprise analytics, and future programmes through to the end of 2026. This is not BAU or legacy support. You will be joining at the ground floor to help design and build a new, modern data foundation from scratch.
The Role
- Design and build data pipelines, models, and architecture using Microsoft Fabric
- Create analytics‑optimised data models to support Power BI and reporting
- Operate in a greenfield, fast‑moving environment, influencing technical direction
- Work in a consultancy‑style delivery team, challenging designs with ideas
- Support and upskill internal engineers as the platform is established
What We’re Looking For
- We’re seeking principal‑level, hands‑on engineers who have experience with Microsoft Fabric or the modern data stack
- Bring strong real‑world delivery experience (certifications are beneficial but not essential)
- Are highly capable in data engineering, data modelling, and analytics‑focused design
- Are comfortable with ambiguity and rapid delivery
- Take a pragmatic, outcomes‑driven approach and continuously improve ways of working
