Due to continued growth and strategic investment, our client is seeking an experienced IFS Manufacturing Consultant to join their team on either a permanent or fixed-term basis. This role will play a key part in enhancing manufacturing capability, supporting ERP transformation initiatives, and optimising operational processes across secure defence programmes.

You will work closely with stakeholders across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and technology teams to deliver scalable and efficient IFS Manufacturing solutions aligned to business and programme requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the implementation, configuration, and optimisation of IFS Manufacturing modules within a defence manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored ERP solutions aligned to operational needs.
  • Support end-to-end project delivery across implementation, upgrade, and transformation programmes.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, traceability, compliance, and reporting.
  • Provide expert guidance and troubleshooting support for complex manufacturing and ERP-related issues.
  • Ensure solutions align with regulatory, compliance, and security standards associated with defence operations.
  • Deliver user training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to support successful system adoption.
  • Work closely with technical and functional teams to support integrations and wider business transformation initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience implementing and supporting IFS Manufacturing modules within complex manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production planning, supply chain, and ERP integration.
  • Experience working on large-scale ERP transformation or upgrade programmes, ideally involving IFS Cloud.
  • Ability to lead workshops, manage stakeholders, and deliver solutions independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience operating within highly regulated or security-sensitive industries.
  • Eligibility to obtain or hold UK security clearance is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience within the defence, aerospace, or secure engineering sectors.
  • Existing SC or DV clearance.
  • Exposure to additional IFS modules or wider ERP technologies.
  • Consultancy or client-facing delivery experience.
  • Experience supporting business change and digital transformation programmes.
  • Understanding of governance, compliance, and operational standards within defence manufacturing environments.
