About the client

Our client is delivering a complex, security-sensitive cloud programme within a highly regulated environment. You’ll have the chance to shape and assure security architecture for critical systems, working alongside experienced engineering, architecture and testing teams.

The role

As a Security Architect, you will develop and assure security architecture for solutions hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). You’ll translate security requirements into practical designs, controls and implementation guidance, ensuring security is embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess cloud and network designs to identify security risks, control gaps and improvement opportunities
  • Define security architecture patterns and technical controls suitable for a high-assurance environment
  • Develop IAM approaches including RBAC and privileged access design
  • Embed security into delivery processes, governance and technical decision-making
  • Lead, define, or assure security testing activities where required
  • Review security findings, advise on remediation, and support risk treatment decisions
  • Produce clear architecture documentation and engage effectively with stakeholders

Essential skills & experience

  • Senior cloud security architecture experience (aligned to SFIA Level 5/6 or equivalent)
  • Strong network security architecture knowledge
  • Deep IAM capability (RBAC, privileged access)
  • Ability to define, lead or assure security testing activities
  • Strong documentation, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Hands-on OCI security/architecture experience
  • Knowledge of UK government Secure by Design principles and processes
  • Background in government, defence, national security or similarly regulated environments
  • Relevant cloud/cyber security architecture certifications
