Contract: Until December 2026 (Potential Extension)

Hours: 35 hours per week (4.5-day week)

We are working with a leading global aerospace manufacturer that is seeking an experienced Design Concession Approver (T200) to join its Wing Plant Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of world-class aircraft by providing technical leadership and engineering expertise within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Role

  • Lead technical investigations into manufacturing non-conformances and develop robust engineering solutions that maintain the highest standards of safety, airworthiness and product integrity.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, production and engineering teams to provide technical guidance, approve concessions and support continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead investigations into manufacturing non-conformances and design issues.
  • Develop and approve technical solutions that satisfy design, safety and airworthiness requirements.
  • Act as a technical authority for concession approvals (T200).
  • Provide engineering support to manufacturing and production teams.
  • Mentor and support other engineers on technical matters and governance.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities to enhance engineering processes and team efficiency.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing and programme teams.
  • Report critical technical issues and ensure effective communication across the business.

About You

We're looking for an experienced aerospace engineer who has previously worked within an aircraft manufacturing environment and is confident making technical approval decisions. You'll ideally have:

  • Current or previous T200 Concession Design Approval authority.
  • Proven experience approving manufacturing concessions.
  • Strong background investigating manufacturing non-conformances.
  • Previous experience supporting commercial aircraft programmes, particularly large civil aircraft.
  • Excellent understanding of structural engineering principles, design integrity and airworthiness requirements.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical decisions and mentor colleagues.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
