We're supporting a consultancy client on the delivery and enhancement of a critical enterprise application platform and are looking for an experienced IBM LANSA Developer to join the team. This role will suit someone with strong experience across Visual LANSA, IBM i / AS400 environments and enterprise application development. You'll be working closely with technical stakeholders to maintain, enhance and modernise existing business-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and enhance applications using Visual LANSA
- Work across IBM i / AS400 environments
- Support the modernisation of legacy business systems
- Develop and maintain integrations with internal and external systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues
- Work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions
- Contribute to system improvements, performance optimisation and best practice development
Required Experience
- Strong commercial experience with Visual LANSA / IBM LANSA
- Experience with RDML and/or RDMLX
- IBM i, AS400 or iSeries experience
- Database experience, ideally DB2
- Experience developing and supporting enterprise business applications
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with clients and stakeholders
Desirable Experience
- Experience with application modernisation projects
- API and systems integration experience
- Consultancy or client-facing delivery experience
- RPG / RPG IV exposure
