We're looking for an experienced Data Modeller to join a high-impact data engineering team working on a modern Lakehouse platform built on Databricks.
The Role
You'll be responsible for designing and implementing robust data models within a Medallion architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold), ensuring data flows efficiently and reliably across the platform. This is a hands-on role requiring both deep technical expertise and the ability to work closely with engineering and business stakeholders.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing and owning data models across the Medallion architecture layers
- Working with Delta Lake, Delta Live Tables, and Unity Catalog to build scalable, well-governed data assets
- Collaborating with data engineers and analysts to ensure models meet downstream reporting and analytics needs
- Applying best practices in data modelling - dimensional, data vault, or relational - within a cloud-native Lakehouse environment
- Contributing to data governance, lineage, and documentation standards
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Data Modeller or senior Data Engineer with a strong modelling focus
- Hands-on Databricks experience - certifications are a plus
- Solid understanding of Medallion / multi-hop architecture
- Proficiency in PySpark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake
- Experience with Azure (ADF, Synapse, or similar) or AWS data services
- Strong communication skills - you'll be working closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
