We're supporting a major UK Government department looking for a seasoned Senior Delivery Manager to join a fast-paced transformation initiative.
Key Responsibilities- Delivery & Governance: Lead priority transformation workstreams, ensuring key milestones, dependencies, and delivery outputs are met in high-pressure environments.
- Team Leadership: Provide clear direction across matrix teams, stepped-up workload management, and direct line management/mentorship for ~3 junior team members.
- Stakeholder & Alignment: Work seamlessly across both public and private sector delivery models, managing senior stakeholders and aligning cross-functional teams.
- Autonomy: Own and manage your workload independently without requiring constant direction or micro-management.
- Transformation Expertise: Proven track record leading business or technology transformation programmes across public and/or private sector environments.
- Adaptable Leadership: Strong capability in leadership, strategic thinking, and clear communication-going beyond pure technical or single-methodology delivery.
- Fast Learner: Ability to upskill rapidly and navigate complex, evolving organisational landscapes.
- Formal certifications in Agile, Programme Delivery, or Project Management (e.g., MSP, PRINCE2, APM) are beneficial but not required.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external delivery partners.
