ASAP start iO Associates are looking for an experienced Cloud Network Engineer to support a major secure cloud transformation programme within the UK public sector. You'll play a key role in designing, implementing and managing networking for a Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) environment, helping deliver secure, resilient infrastructure for mission-critical services. Key Responsibilities Design and implement resilient cloud and hybrid network architectures. Configure secure site-to-site connectivity, VPNs and private interconnects. Manage VPCs, routing, peering and IP address management (IPAM). Deploy and maintain load balancing and private DNS solutions. Design and secure Kubernetes (GKE) networking, including network policies, private control planes and Istio Service Mesh. Monitor and troubleshoot network performance using flow logs and observability tooling. Essential Skills Proven experience designing and supporting complex cloud or hybrid networking environments. Strong knowledge of Google Cloud networking concepts, including VPCs and hybrid connectivity. Experience with Kubernetes networking (GKE) and service mesh technologies.
